This was done in pure fun, but I must admit that there just may be a little truth to it. Sometimes we can have a combo of these traits and sometimes we hope we are NOWHERE near them.
What do you think? Can you add to my list? I would LOVE to hear some additional mommy types that you have encountered.
-The mommy that suddenly aged 15yrs when she became a mom. She is all knowing in areas of motherhood and/or looks the part. She only hangs with other "responsible" moms. Sometimes...no...a lot if times she gets on other mommy's nerves.
-The mommy who forgot she was a mommy and that she needs to raise and develop responsible offspring. Instead she is either her kids "bestie" or to the other extreme and treats them like cats that she feeds right quick before she's off and running the streets again.
-The frumpy mommy who forgot that she was fly/hot. She just can't figure out how to find that inner cat woman and she makes the kids number 1, but struggles to find time for herself anymore. This is not a good look and her sex life is even a little rocky. Poor her.
-The mommy that's just a little too much on her Kim K. She is inappropriately hot when she needs to not be and it makes her seem kind of...shallow, materialistic, and well ho-ish. We can't deny she's cute, but her mommy credibility is a little shot. Let's just say we ain't letting our kids go to her kids sleepovers.
-The hood mommy. She is always bumpin her beats even with the little ones in the car. Her kids know all the lyrics to the latest Lil Wayne song and wear the tightest kicks. Her 2yr old daughter knows how to "drop it like its hot." Her nails and hair are
always "did" when she goes out, she's loud, and she can't live without her cell phone. She be muggin you (gives you dirty looks) at parent night or at least it seems like it...even though you didn't do anything to her.
-The "educated" mommy. She is a college grad and so her kids must be too. Her kids were reading by age 2 and will know the pythagorean theorem by age 4. She is always using big words and unintentionally makes everyone around her feel dumb.
-The substance dependent mommy. She doesn't drink coffee in the morning. She might have another kind of beverage and/ or a smoke and she smells like whatever she smoked at all times of the day. People usually cough or have a slightly soar throat when she is near. She just don't give a f@$k. Her kids look un-groomed most of the time...but they're nice kids.
-The church mommy. This one can be perceived in two totally different extremes. While she can be admirable in so many ways, everything about her can make you feel like you are going to hell either because you know you need to do some self work or because she is just out of control with her judgment of everyone else and their kids instead of just focusing on her own stuff...she may be the "righteous" type and exuberates that in all she does. Good lawd.
-The extra busy mommy. She can nurse a baby, cook dinner, wash the car, go grocery shopping, have sex, and take a work call all at the same time. She needs to slow her butt down and find some work/life balance because sometimes her attitude stinks and more importantly significant other is pissed from feeling neglected at times.
-The chic/trendy mommy. She has the "Better Homes" thing going on. Has awesome dishes, furniture, purses, and nice clothes. She is always makin $h!t and
doing arts and crafts with her kids. Her kids have all the latest everything from clothes to cool room to tech gadgets. She watches the Food Network and she's a regular at Pottery Barn.
-The green mommy. She doesn't use Windex or Pine Sol due to the carcinogens and she is extremely conscious about what she eats and what she feeds her family; to the point that others feel judged for what they eat even though that's not the case. She is super energy conscious. She's the queen of recycling.
-The soccer mommy. She cant help but be organized as she promotes some crazy insane system at home for the family to follow. Her kids are all up in sports and extra curricular activities. Where does she find the
time? Her kids are just as busy as her trying to juggle eating, homework, practice (for whatever sport/activity), camps, sleep, tournaments, social life, game day, fundraisers, and the like. The pic to the left captures the "Elegant" soccer mom...lol!
